I rather think it will be quite special.
Bear this in mind. The atmosphere has been boosted by industrial CO2, which is like putting a second duvet on the bed. However, we are not sweating, because the boiler was turned down on the central heating as the sun cooled as the sunspot cycle hit a low.
When the sunspots return, the thermostat goes up and the boiler will heat up.
Then we could have a problem.

You do appreciate that the comments I made were concerning my experiences in past summers? Now I'm in Spain permanently, I have the joy of not caring what the UK summer is like.
My kids tell me that this summer has been quite good, which one could say was damning with faint praise.....

The UK's climate is perfect for those who don't like hot dry places and lots of sunshine.

Always felt I was running in the wheel faster and faster just to stand still. Usual story.
You in Birmingham? I visited there when my daughter graduated from the Uni there. Lots of speshul people there, and made where I lived look a whole lot better. They read out all the names of the graduates, and I doubt that 1 in 40 was a typical English surname.
Can't say I was sorry when we left.

In addition the following cycle no.25 is predicted to be one of the lowest for several hundred years.

Also interesting to note that severe geomagnetic storms can still occur even during a weak cycle.
Not having had a really exceptional one for a very long time I wonder what effects if any, such an event could have on todays hi-tec transistorised communications systems.
