I think it's a brilliant idea, so long as they confine themselves to that thread only!

So let's see how you want to play this?
What I said to you was, "Graham, I like you, but that was a stupid post because..... I then gave reasons why I thought it was stupid.
I didn't say "That's stupid!" and run away with my fingers in my ears.
I seem to remember that your response was that you didn't want anyone like me to like you, which did come across as childish, and a bit along the lines of spitting your dummy out.
If you choose to continue down that route, I will be more than willing to dislike you, if that's what you really want.
What follows is entirely down to you.

I'm not keen on the idea, sorry. I never like the idea of 'women only' anything, any more than I like any other kind of exclusivity, just seems like a kind of apartheid.
If I get fed up with the direction some threads are taking, I just stop reading -bit like the 'off' button on your telly!

I suspect if 'men' and 'women' and 'gays' on an internet forum were given a truth drug, the biggest category left would be one for the liars.

I'm not one applauding the idea of separating sexes... I have been educated to stand up for myself when needed be and I like debating. Sometimes I can even change my mind if the other ideas are well exposed! It's extremely rare, but it has happened more than once in my life; not here so far, though
)
My mum was caught up in her time, socially forced to marry and have kids, and only when she was in her 40's she was able to take on further education and hobbies, so she has a life outside the house. Unfortunately this is not the common thing for Spanish women of her age, as if they were working before marriage they would be practically forced to leave after marrying.
She made sure that I would get an education and independence, and among other things that means that I get quite touchy with women only or male only clubs.
I think it would be better to improve the way threads are placed and discussed, so that topics are easier to find; maybe creating a clear topic list so threads will be placed properly? My brain is quite compartmentalised, so I would be happy if we could separate threads into different categories and try to stick to the topic. This way everybody can decide which ones would be interesting or a complete bore for him/her.

It would be useful if members all had a signature with details if they are male or female, spanish or English, Uk or Spain etc and then some may not have to feel they need to mention it in every post

if you go back to your control panel and amended it so it shows the male or female symbol would be a start, then filling in some of the other bits that have been left blank on the (reasonable) grounds of personal privacy, but it is up to you what you put there
