I'm not making this up
I know your not, but in our case the first aid room was next door but they couldnt use that.

When the kitchen is also the network server room (small company) it makes IT maintentance a bit more fraught than it needs to be.

When somebody is trying to deal with an some obscure fault in the system there should be a maximum of one person crying in there, namely me.

sounds like fun, steam from the kettle near to the servers is good for ensuring maximum connection time.

much larger company, 450 seats, 2 computer rooms each with their own aircons. IT just kept stuffing more and more into the one nearest their desks, and it was my fault the ac couldnt cope with the output
they put servers into rack without any breather space between and couldnt understand why they had an average life of approx 12m before they burnt out. They kept adding eqpt to a mains circuit because it was the nearest without any thought of how much they were pulling thru and the imbalance between the phases.

good days, at least I could close my door and have a cry alone - for abt 3.5mins before being disturbed by someone about something.
