some times its the little everyday things you miss from your home city.but you always seem to forget the bad times and remember the good times.and the nice people.
like if you were walking around liverpool city centre wearing your new suit and your shoes were polished and your hair was cut.people would say good luck in court mate.

I agree with the comments about at least 'trying' to integrate into the culture where you live - this IS essential for happiness I think!
When I go back to England I am reminded how materialistic many people are!
Oh, and becuase I am from the south - I notice the coldness of people and the fact that conversation doesn't happen between strangers.
The fact the days seem to be really short, and you have to plan everything in advance! (weather depending!)

people tend to think that moving here will be the answer to all their problems, for f sake why would that be,its simple,if the uk had spains weather,no expats would be here
corrupt place that will not solve your problems and you will probanly return with a lot less than u came with in this day and age
me i live going back to north devon and would have stayed had the weather been better to allow me to work in the pub business 12 months of the year busy

On the subject of corruption, I can safely say that as the Wife of a self-employed Man at the mercy of bigger Companies, there is plenty of that in the UK too!
