And you have the reasoning of a toddler, so am beginning to wonder if there is a minimum age for posting on BE, and quite possibly you have found us when you were looking for something more apprropriate to your mental age, like TELETUBBIES.

And now Me Me, you are talking about "TUBBIES"

To be honest Me Me, I sincerely apologise for that last post of mine.

It was taking the P*SS, something that I am criticising other people for doing.

Do you honestly believe the likes of ryanair are going to provide larger seats for these people? Not on your life! They might charge extra for larger people but no way are they going to provide bigger seats because that would cut down the number of overall seats on offer.

The argument wouldbn't be that they are taking up extra space, they don't care about that. Rather that the extra weight means they are burning more fuel so in essense its a surcharge for that, not for seating.

You can always buy an extra seat for yourself with Ryanair, but as the blurb repeatedly says, this does not qualify for extra luggage allowance.

Have a young Korean lady staying here tells me she bought a very cheap flight on RA only to find out they charged her 260 euros for her luggage.

Her very first and very last RA flight apparently.

Another case of day light robbery!
I know there will be those who will think she´s stupid for not having scrolled through the small print etc, but I real feel for her!
The tactics are so underhand and quite unforgivable!

Even if you don't, surely it can't be at all comfortable sitting in two standard airline seats? Occasionally we've ended up with two seats each if the plane hasn't been full, but you can't really use them except for being able to stretch your legs out more because of the armrest sticking out even when raised, and the ridge at the edge of the seats.

I sent a hoover to Australia before we left, a Dyson, was £35 all inc with Fed Ex, I mean a Dyson is as big as a human, I know its freight but still it shows a huge difference in cost for a human and a parcel.

You can't stuff a human in a box for the 24 hours it takes to get to Aus though.....although I would love to try with a few people

Has anyone seen this, might be the solution :-

The adjustable airline seats that widen according to your size (and how much you're willing to pay)
British design firm Seymourpowell has designed Morph to offer passengers choice over the amount of space they pay for The width of the seat can be adjusted, while an individual can also control the seat pan height and depth, to make sure they are comfortable Morph uses a fabric that is stretched across the width of three seats, around a frame and over formers, a little like a hi-tech hammock

Interesting design that is bound to take off.
The bit about getting cheaper seats for the children made me chuckle as the overall seat frame footprint would not change, so Mum/ Dad would not doubt pay a little more & little rascal a little less.
