There were even a group of 10-20 Dutch fans at the bull ring among the 5,000 Spain fans, there were no problems what so ever!
I have now read the article and seen there were 2 injured in Malaga city. There were probably 100,000 people or more celebrating! And out of those, 2 injuries
I find that incredible.

If that was so dirty why was he not given the red card...I blame the ref...he was not so in control of the game as some commentators have you punters believe. Did you realise that he is not a well like ref in the UK

I don't refer to the referee, is to the barbarian that give a kick in the chest to Xavi Alonso. And I am wrong, it was not dirty game, was a criminal act. I would advise him that he made another thing, not to the football. Also to the referee

I was in Malaga all day at the bull ring watching the game on the big screen and having a great time, amazing atmosphere. Afterwards there were tens of thousands of people on the streets. I must have been there over 8 hours, never saw a hint of violence only lots of very happy people!

They weren't the only incidents, they were just the ones that involved knives. There are now about 40 comments and not all the spanish would agree with you. A few said they will be glad when it is all over, noise from trumpets, vandalism to cars, robberies etc. Never thought I would see the day when Spaniards complain about noise

The worst thing was fighting in the crouds to get to the toilets

They said that in Madrid there were 1 million people on the streets last night to see the players go round on the bus. They say the problem was that you couldnt move at all in the crowds, apparently you were stuck where you were stood for hours, and if you needed the toilet, people had to just go where they were standing

Well there is always someone who wants to complain!

And my second was "where are the toilets and how long are the queues?"

Amazing summer the Spanish sports people have had already. I suspect I won't see the England team get to a major final before I die (well not with this shower they won't) so well done Spain for winning the Euro Championship two years ago and now the World Cup. Nadal too is way above most challengers, but I'm not too bothered if I don't see a Brit win Wimbledon (AM must have a chance in the next few years though).
Almost a certainty that Spain won't win the next World Cup though - there's always a new team on the block. But, what an incredible achievement!

Came close in today's stage, and should come good in the Pyrenees. I felt sorry for Lance Armstrong, involved in three crashes yesterday, so that's him effectively out of it. He has won seven Tour de France, Contador is till at two, but I think that will rise.

If the ref would've give a red card (as many believe he should) the game would have been a walkover for the spanish. Seeing as he didn't, made the game more enjoyable for people like me who want to see the best team in the world overcoming obstacles like a dirty team hellbent on crippling them. It was oh so sweet revenge if not just for the dirtyness of the dutch. If Mr Webb had sent the two players off it would have spoiled the match for millions watching. Justice was served and any other ref wouldn't have the nuts to just give a yellow for the sake of keeping the game of football balanced at such a high level.
Mr Webb is actually a VERY liked ref in the uk. He's no nonsense and gets stuck in in the premiership. The best in Europe after Mr Collina..

There's a good saying. You're dammed if you do, you're dammed if you don't.

Mr Webb made the best he could of a bad job, trying to handle the dirty Dutch and the childish Spanish who were constantly trying to intimidate him to get players sent off.
Typical of what they get away with at Barca, and totally unnecessary as they had the ability to win the game in a sporting fashion.
Whatever happened to all this respect, that was supposed to be shown to referees this time?
Webb later described it as the toughest two hours of his life.
The Dutch are bellyaching that he was too harsh and the Spanish that he was too easy, but the general feeling in the UK, was that he did very well given the circumstances.
Maybe we should enter a Dingle's eleven next time.
That should really give the officials something to think about.

Agree, however the Spanish thought Webb had a shocker! I´d have thought they´d have been delighted with him, he allowed them to get away with all sorts of piscinazos, continued hassling of the referee, and as you say, trying to get people red carded. That´s one side of football that puts me right off the game, referees almost seem to enjoy being hassled and disrespected. A few yellow cards, and if they insist, a red, will soon get the message across.

And why do people start sentences with.. Agree.. It doesn't make sense.. It should be. I agree..
Also I believe the Spanish type of playing football was the only way they could have played by diving. Had they not been kicked in the chest, stamped on and booted all over from the first minute by the dutch, we may have seen a totally different and more appreciated final. With football being so held back by Sepp and his cronies not allowing video replay and touchline tech (wonder why, bribe bribe) we will unfortunately be blaming the referee who has to work amongst, and judge who is not faking out of 22 proffesional con artists.
Thank you Agrerarag, I'm glad you agree.. Snort..
