Well, I usually book hold luggage in at the airport, there is a desk for that, as it means I only pay for a one way ticket for my luggage. My hold luggage only goes one way.

I thought they charged more for luggage added at airport rather than online.

Possibly, but since mine is one way, it is still cheaper

With Easyjet I book 2 single tickets and only 1 has hold luggage.

Another good plan .. but is it more expensive to book two single tickets than a return? Given that on a previous thread it was discussed how airlines keep track of your interest in a particular flight by placing a cookie on your computer it is getting very difficult to beat the system

Scrub the cookies from your computer every now and then.

I think there's no advantage to booking two tickets together.

I think the next step in cost cutting is going to be that there will be a surcharge if the passengers insist on specifying a destination.

This is our fourth year of not flying as neither of us like it. (Ferry - prefeeably Pride of Bilbao - every time for us!).

However I have just booked a flight for my son and his girlfriend (their Christmas and Birthday presents) with Ryanair in March and the price od the flight was £40 return including tax for the two of them. Excelente!

By the time I had paid for the check-in of one case and all the other extras it was £100.

However, £25 each way is still very good. It costs more than that to go on a train journey from London to Devon!

I always use Ryanair as even when you've totted up all the extras they still work out cheaper than the other low cost airlines ......I always take hold luggage as I tend to stock up on stuff to bring back, especially kids clothes and my handbag always goes in my hand luggage anyway.

I have just tried it and they want you to donate 15 GBP. So not free.

No, you just say download now, thanks, posh. The only snag is it wipes out all your saved log-in passwords but a small price to pay.
