Being bankrupt in the UK.
Well sometimes I get really angry
My OH ex has been twice the last time about 18 months ago for 120 thousand, yet she still goes on expensive foreign holidays.
I thought that they used to take your passport off you.
I have just realized why she keeps changing her name, she gets married a lot.
I have no problem with genuine cases, but this one just takes the P>>>

Can I also say that as far as I know from the 1st Jan this year a reciprocal agreement has been put in place certainly between England and Spain as far as tax debts are concerned. We have had a client who had debts owing to the tax man in England and the Spanish tax authorities have now got hold of them and are chasing them for the debt and can put an embargo on property etc. I do not have any other details but it might be worth a trawl on the internet.

As from today, the new banking code comes into effect in the UK. If you miss a creditcard payment or exceed your overdraft they will now ring you and ask if you are in financial difficulties. Isn't that nice? - wonder how much they charge for the call?

Funnily enough - youngest son is in the states at the moment and he got a letter this morning questioning his spending - bloody hell do you have to confirm with them when you book your hols

Apparently someone had just gone on a $5000 spending spree in Boston on my card, and I'd used it on the way home to get some petrol - "credit" to them though all within an hour and never cost me anything other than a couple of days without my card.

I hate the tax people, you have to do there work for them, they took me to court not long ago as it happens, I was hoping they would take it all the way.
They had me down as builder and I owed over 18k in Tax, they are still faffing about with it now,
I can see it, people being arrested and detained in Spain due to the incompetence in the first place, I understand many do a runner from Tax maybe, but they make so many mistakes aswell.
