I'm told that Kate Middleton asked the Queen on the night before the wedding for advice on how to have a long and happy life as a Royal wife, she replied "Always wear a seat belt and never, ever piss me off"

Ths smilies were in response to someone else's post. I DO think he looks like his uncle, Earl Spencer. I thought so even when he was a little boy before James Hewitt was even mentioned.
But then Earl Spencer is his mother's side of the family........

But at least they have no real power, that is still with the elected idiots, which can be changed every 5 years, just think of the countries where the Royalty is in power, Saudi Arabia, Bahrein etc, and those countries with unelected leaders, Libya etc.

Or Lady Sarah McCrocodile as she was dubbed at the time! Yeah, the Spencer family didn't come out of the whole affair with much dignity as I remember, Sarah was an evil bitch, probably still is, she apparently shredded thousands of personal papers from her sisters past life in an attempt to limit the damage it could all do to the family one day...

Well, I never watched the show, but it seems 16 million Spanish did on one Spanish channel alone.

Los españoles eligieron La 1 de TVE: más 16 millones de espectadores siguieron el enlace en esta cadena.

Amazing, yet maybe not so much so after the massive pre-wedding build up, comparable to that in the UK.
I wonder how many other countries had similar figures or if the worldwide estimates of the billions viewing could even have been underestimated ?

Taking royal support on a basis of who watched, who was at the street parties etc is just silly.
A huge % will watch out of curiosity, who don't support them at all.

Maybe, on the other hand I would imagine that most of those opposed would have switched to another channel and as O Leary would say all publicity is good publicity.
