It's nearly here...
Where are you watching it (if at all)?
What are you planning for it (if anything)?

We're having a street party in our bar. We've got loads of bunting and flags. We'll open early, have cava and watch the goings on on the big telly on the terrace (hope the weather's good and we can open it up), have an afternoon buffet and a bit of a disco in the evening.
It's ticket only and proving to be very popular.

I havent been following the build up but I thought Kate looked quite nice.
My mum, very much a royalist, has been saying though how Kate "stalked" william so to speak to get herself in the position of being a princess.
Shes no different to any other normal girl in the street apparently - my own daughter could have landed in her position I guess if she tried which to me undermines the whole thing.
Ive gone off her.I dont like golddiggers and William has had enough hassles in his short lifetime.I hope it works but I hold reservations on that one.
Sorry!!!

I read an amusing story on another chatboard. Back in the 80s another royal wedding was taking place, so the poster and their friends took a ferry trip to France to avoid all the hype. Of course, on landing they realised they were in the middle of an expat zone full of street parties galore!

Billions of pounds & several centuries later, we're supposed to appreciate the people who stole from our ancestors................ I think not! Give the entire royal family their P45's & turn Buck Palace into a hostel for failed asylum seakers, that's about all it's worth.

As far as stalking goes it is probably fair to sat we (both male and female) have all pursued the ones we wanted to "catch" no? would. But it ain't stalking. I have never heard that she was stalking him and didn't she break it off several years ago?

Good on her! The monarchy stole all it's money from the peasants anyway. One day hundreds of years ago ordinary people were harvesting their crops when the king's men turned up & said "We own this land & you have to pay us rent"

Can you imagine: queeny didn't even meet Kate's parents until last week for the first time. WTF, is she too bloody good for them? What a rotten institution.

There was a Spanish film crew in London on the news this morning, chatting to anyone they could find.

Majority of the people calling her a "gold digger" etc. all seem to be at the bottom of the pile. On benefits and living in a council house, you would have thought they would have a bit of empathy.
Not everyones cup of tea but it beats reading stories about katie Price aka Jordan or watching a few nutcases firing guns in air in Libya.
BTW not a Royalist like to look at the outfits.

Seems like most expats here are anti-royalist? ,FFS would you prefer President Camron/Brown/Blair?
The Royal family sets Britain apart from so many of the tin pot countries through out the world .

I'm not a royalist, but like you, I'll settle for what we have got, rather than the likes of President Blair, Obama, Reagan, Berlusconi etc. Or we could go down the route that Russia took and get rid of the Royal Family, I know which I'd prefer. I'd said before, being born onto the Royal Family is akin to being handed a poisoned chalice, if anyone thinks being born "royal" is something to be envied, they must be mad. They couldn't pay me enough to do their job.

The royal family are nothing more than a very expensive tourist attraction
