For some people the questions posed are of a serious nature, which is why they are seeking guidance or help. It is very offputting when the thread now has two pages of nonsense. There is a chat room so why would anybody feel the need to hijack a thread in this way with no positive input.
I do actually enjoy watching the banter between you all, but feel it would put off many newcomers if they enter a thread with a definate title that may interest them and find this sort of content.

I new exactly where Jdr was coming from when he did his "invisible" reply, thats why I responded to him. He gets ignored or people try to have a go at him a lot on the other Esuri thread, so I suppose you ignoring him was the final straw!! If people actually read some of his posts they will realise that he can actually be a lot of help to new purchasers etc in Spain, but for some reason people at Costa Esuri dont want his help.

We were only having a bit of banter, trying to cheer him up Come in to siesta time and join in, once you get to know us all you will realise we didnt mean any offence

BB - you are right to point out that there is the Ayamonte Esuri thread but the thread has become so big because hardly any of them posting on there venture out onto the rest of the board that now it is like it's own separate room. That might be the answer but once you set that precedent where do you draw the line?? An awful lot of things broached within that thread have relevance to anybody in or coming to Spain wherever they may be. Because it is so big, all topics are mixed up all over the place and it must be offputting to any newcomer to have to trawl through 3660 replies in the hope of finding the info you need. As a result, topics get repeated over and over again.

I agree with you that to have an Esuri request every 2nd thread would be a pain too, but maybe it would be beneficial to all on the Spain board if the Esuri/Ayamonte posters could be encouraged to use the rest of the board thus leaving clear, itemized thread topics. I know this is a bugbear with several who run or regularly use the board

The only rude bit was, three replies and only thanking two of the people, as far as I am concerned.

I do actually enjoy watching the banter between you all, but feel it would put off many newcomers if they enter a thread with a definate title that may interest them and find this sort of content.
He asked a serious question and got a serious answer and ignored it.

And I accept that entirely, but as already stated some serious answers came their way, and given that the CE thread rarely comes off the front page or the Spain forum I would have thought that any one with half a curious nature would have had a look around and seen that the CE thread is absolutely full of information regarding CE!?

The issue about thread hijacking comes up on a regular basis, and I think it comes down to how seriously someone takes an internet forum. I know of few people who haven't had the hand of help outstretched when they have called for it on here, Onlineamiga is one off the top of my head, so to think that people don't help is ridiculous.

as for jdr, just remember that he, and all the Mods, do a huge amount of work that we don't see, and if it wasn't for the likes of them half of the info wouldn't even be there!

The "Must be a full moon" comment was in reply to what I thought was your tongue-in-cheek reply to me saying that you were "glad" that I agreed with you (the assumption being that you think we rarely agree). Mine was simply a light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek comment too. All good fun!

Perhaps the powers that be could close the Costa Asuri thread part IV and start part V, the older posts would be searchable, and the thread would me much less unwieldly, and easier for any on dial up to download.
