we were hoping to start building a year ago at R22 .. we were promised electricity to the plot some 18 months ago and here we are with no sign of a supply. My concern is that if we complete on the purchase we have no lever to get a supply and we fall into a hole between Endesa and Fadesa... Has anybody completed, built and now have eletricity connected?

Our first completion date on the draft contract was August 2005 then on the private contract it moved to December 2005 and our plan was to be in in Oct 2006. Fat chance!
In the intervening period my mum died I have been laid up for six weeks with a broken heel bone (1 week in hospital for the first time in 60 years) I have had extensive exploitary investigations on my colon. No life is to short to wait for Fadesa we made three separate trips over to sign the Escritura all to no avail so in Feb I just said sod it we are going to sign and get on with it. There are now lots of completed villas most by developers in clusters but there is one self build just opposite the big tent and that is occupied and has lights and water but they may be Fadesa supplied. This has advantages in that you can get that first fill of the pool at their cost and your aircon can be fully tested out at their expense.
Regards,
John.
