No point in having an empty bus, even if there is one passenger. I assumed this at the start as I assumed that the busses always go between the station and CE, only.
Then there was no mention of the 22:30 bus going BACK to the station.. perfect timing for Ayamonte as we know that it all starts 'late' there... so this unmentioned one at 22:30 could be a winner. Thanks for letting us know that they will actually pick up at this unscheduled time.
Again this is great news... and as it pans out we see more opportunities, than advertised.
I still think the door remains open for an hourly service and really hope Frank is still interested.

On Friday evening (26th July) at 9.30 there is a fund raising event at the church of St Vincent de Paul in Salon, Ayamonte.
There will be a BBQ with Sardines, Pinchitos, Burgers and Tomato Salad and any money raised will go towards stocking the shop with food for the needy.
A great evening out and chance to help our friends in Ayamonte

Investments in Ayamonte. I mentioned in a former post the water-park was due to open in 2014, due to the slowness of the central government burocracy, it will take a little bit more time...

The Marina is estimated to cost €43m with a chunk from central government and another from the Communidad which they have not got
So I suppose even if they could find a private investor to take the gamble it won't move until things are better.
On the other hand Russian Mafia money and brown envelopes seems much easier. Although looking at what the EU DID TO CYPRUS WITH THE HAIRCUT I would think that the Spanish Government would be wary of where the money comes from before they sanctioned that kind of investment.

Whereabouts on the river is the suggested location of the proposed marina? I see the fish farm has closed with 22 people losing their jobs; such a shame. At least a marina and /or water park would provide jobs for the locals. Now......where are my rose tinted specs ?

It was only supposed to close half of the fish farm but I think the owner is the same chap who has been doing all of the engineering work to build a new fish farm from the remains of the old one between Castro Marim and VRStO. Which is odd since he said at the time that he could pull back to half and still get the same throughput due to the warm water produced by electricity generating station.
Just to add the Russian financed water park is tucked in behind the south west corner of the marina and the generating station.

Have a look at page 12 (currently) of this Ayamonte sub forum there is a closed thread Re: el puerto deportivo marina Esuri where there are a few very intelligent replies. One or two have maps attached which show that the marina is to be just upstream of the bridge on the east bank taking up about half of the fish farm. There are photo montages and much more detail so well worth a read of that thread.

http://www.infoayamonte.com/index.ph...t-in-18-months regards BryonyHowever I must be missing something big as I don't see this.... 'business case'.
Good news (for me) nonetheless, as a potential positive for the future.
I am not fussed about the water park, but with an improved CE, it may be good news. No mention of the marina though... the best news (IMHO) for CE after these guarantees come in.
I hope all the guarantee money, should it come in, goes to CE.. and the banks insist on that too.
