I was just going to ask why?, but that would make me just as silly as your response.

I suppose you're going to start calling me names, I don't mind, I'm both an emmet and a grockel, meaning that I know Devon and Cornwall like the back of my hand.and I would still be there if it ever stopped raining.

Have you actually read this thread?

I was happily discussing the subject and I was attacked.

Unreal, if you have nothing to add to the discussion, blame Matt... brilliant tactics!

Have I read this thread? Yes. And all you've done is to attack other posters and call them names. You're not interested in the subject matter, for some reason, you just want to continue some silly game stretching back over the years.

As I understand it, you're working on a sheep farm in Devon, and you've worked as a barman in Spain, I'm not being condescending, but it hardly qualifies you to comment in the way that you do.

Ok, have a look again... in particular post 20 and how it relates to my comments...

Oh and No I don't work on a sheep farm, I have sheep, but I work for no one except myself.... and no, I didn't just work in a bar, among other numerous things I am a Master saddler and have a Horticultural Masters.... oh and unlike so many people commenting on this subject I have first hand at not only the Middle East but also some of the complexities of the situation.....now if thats OK for you let me know....

Now if we are calling peoples eligibility to comment on this subject shall we all shut up?

Many seem to be convinced of his guilt while others are certain he innocent on here, I doubt anyone on here is that well imformed to be certain.

I think whats wrong here is that the man was convicted of such a heinous crime that all "normally" rules should have been thrown aside and he should have been lept in jail unless his lawyers proved his innocence(and I say that as someone who thinks his convicion was dubious to say the least) but he was found guilty and now we will never know what evidence he/his lawyers had to prove different. I wnder if he was told to drop his appeal...what is it that they don't want us to know?!(or perhaps there is nothing)

Now we will never really know....

I cannot be bothered trawling through all the posts on this.

Guilty or not, on his own in this or not, the Government that set him free made a terrible mistake.

They knew that he would return to a `Heroes Welcome` because the Middle East have a childish mentality and will accept him as a hero and this will stick in the throats of the victims` families

That was the deal wasnt it ..... if he dropped his appeal, he would be released on compassionate grounds. Hence, as you say, the evidence will never be heard I guess.

I haven't seen a hard copy of a paper in days, but if you follow the link & read the online comments, someone suggests the information was disclosed first (or at least earlier) by The Independent.
