Come on you two.
Its an interesting discussion, and some of the put downs are quite funny, but dont spoil it by bringing in your personal unending hatred of each other :D

What's the matter Billy? You not getting any at the moment so you feel that you need to drive people away in case they disagree with you?

To quote Bill, he has all the answers so I will unsubscribe, he is stalking me on about 7 threads at the moment say EXACTLY THE SAME THING about his post count obsession, so I will take it up there with him.

Well, if you notice, whenever matt is polite to me I am polite to him. If he is rude to me, I return the compliment. That makes him angry.

I will say this. If he stops the silly remarks, and debates sensibly, then I will never agan be rude to him.

He is intelligent, and capable of carrying out an interesting discussion. Hell, he even gets karma from me when I think he's posted something really good.

I just think it's a shame that so many threads have to slide into this silliness because he seems to have taken such a dislike to me.

Yeah, on that occasion I was a bit forward. Perhaps because you are so fast with posts like 21.

Tell you what, why don't we call it quits and just be polite to each other?

OK?

In 1988, the US shot down an Iranian private aircraft, killing 290 innocent people. The same year, someone brought down a private American aircraft killing 270 innocent people. Both the US and the Lybians paid out large sums in compensation for each incident.

We live in a murky and horrible world, worthy of discussion at every level, but name-calling should have no part in it.

There is actually just as much of a link to the Irish as the Iranians.

Can I say something without being shouted down please? I´ve been watching this thread with interest, not least because two of my favourite posters (both of whom are knowledgeable in their different ways) are at one anothers throats over something we really cannot possibly know the answer to. Stop it the both of you. All this rhetoric is not going to convince either of you to change your minds. Agree to disagree, please, I´m sure we will never know the truth, whatever it is.
