You keep posting jobs in IT and marketing which you say that most on here do not have the necessary skills, just to prove that jobs exist in Spain, and contradict the general word out and about on the street in Spain.

That being done just to prove a point, as you say the teenage IT geek has got the world at his feet.

The problem is that there are reletively few T IT Gs compared to the amount of those out of work who are not teenage geeks.

How would an unemployedfactory/builder/shop assistan worker in the UK, who after posting his/her opinion about there being unable to find a job in the UK, read a post from someone in a different county, saying there are plenty of jobs but people lack the necessary skills.

If as you say you are having trouble finding a better job than you had in Spain, have you thought of looking here.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/he...in-crisis.html

As you can see, it is a well paid job, good prospects, nice working conditions, mainly, so how come you are not applying?

Oh I forgot you dont have the relevant skills either do you?

So as I said there are jobs and there are JOBS, and the well meaning? posts you write to show the people in Spain that it is not as bad as they think it is, can quite frankly cause offense.

In fact as much offense to a load of unskilled workers in the job centre in Barnsley ,being shown this article about a shorage of doctors. Very helpful, and a great moral booster for them ......dont you think?

Same as what JLFS said and lets backtrack to the OP's skills

Good to see some sensible comments.
2 main reasons for posting the job sites I have (and in many cases the companies are advertising direct, so there's no funny business!)

i) If you are young or have children with a bit of talent in that area, encourage them along that path as it's a rapidly growing area
ii) More to the point, these IT firms often are aiming at an international market. So there may be openings outside of the normal totally techie route. For example if we look at the Softonic site (http://softonic.asp.infojobs.net/home/index.xhtml) as linked on the site I mentioned earlier http://www.internetmadeinspain.org/ we find jobs such as "advertising sales director", "online marketing assistant", or "product manager" as well as the purely IT roles. Again I make no claim that all or even a majority of people here have the relevant experience to apply for those jobs. [get the disclaimer in before the knockers repeat the allegations]. Just that some jobs do exist and maybe, someone on these forums may find the links of help.

Strange we've had several pages of this. Really just one post would have sufficed, but I've responded to all the "I don't believe these exist, and if they do exist it's obviously agency scams, and if they are not scams you should be ashamed of trying to help people out when you can't get that particular job yourself" posts.

Slow down. I didn't say that you said the Spanish liked the morrocons. I was just saying the ones I work with hate the morrocons because they are thieves. So they certainly have no respect for them. Don't call me a tool either.

OK but you know as well as I do that the people who ask on here in most cases are looking for a stop gap job, to give them a bit of extra money.

The IT whizzes are not hooked up to BE waiting for you to post a link, they will have sourced their own out in their own way.

So as I say it is about as usuful as a chocolate teapot, to keep harping on about jobs, that "we" are not qualifed for.

Just as it is no use sending an out of workforklift driver in the UK the info on a heart specialist job, cant you see that.

There is a post from grela.fdez who pointed out that a lot of jobs are advertised because they are NEVER taken permanently by anyone, so that the employee does not have any rights.

That being the case each job can change hands every 6 months or so, give to someone new on a TRIAL basis, and then when they have to be made permanent they are shown the door.

I know a lot of companies myself that operate in this way, so they jobseekers are simply doing a round robin to keep themselves in work.

But the upshot is, it looks like there are more jobs on offer, I hope you can understand this, and realise that for most ordinary workers this is a way of life. High staff turnover, a job vacancy being advertised every 6 months.....and workers who are unable to sort themselves out due to the precarious situation they are in.

And to top all that off a firesideknow all, in a foreign country telling them that it is not like that at all.

Yet again you didn't read my post, it included <<we find jobs such as "advertising sales director", "online marketing assistant", or "product manager" as well as the purely IT roles.>> Instead you jumped straight to your inaccurate summary.
You may be a decent person in real life, but you keep coming across as an aggressive cretin on here, and it seems you have an argument with different posters every week. Waste of space, and I can't waste more time on such bull-tulip. Ignore button for you - NEXT!

I think the answer might be in a forum for Spanish working in UK, one thing I'm always reading is that they feel so valued in UK, are trusted with so much responsibility, and rewarded accordingly, something they have rarely experienced in Spain.
En mi caso en cuanto coja más experiencia y me certifique volvere a London a buscar de IT.
Eso si en España en grandes ciudades hay trabajo de IT pero las condiciones son lamentables.

If anyone is thinking of applying for anything that is "advertising sales director, be warned, it will normally be on commision only, and will mean trudging from business to business trying to sell advertising in a little local "magazine, that will be available free, or something like that.

Online marketing asssistant will usually consist of becoming an "associate" of a bigger company, where you get your own customers by sending out mailshots to everyone in your address book and hoping that they will do you a big favour and sign up to whatever it is they are flogging.

That will also be commission based, but the big advantage will be when you recruit others and then you will bet a share of what they sell, so the earning power is endless, at least that is what you will be told.

I know people who have been roped in to this sort of thing, and the lucky ones have only lost their time and petrol money, the unlucky ones have also laid out money up front to get their golden opportunity.

If anyone has made a success of this type of thing in Spain, I would be interested to hear of a postitive outcome.
