Just seen John Redwood on SKY news not being a complete twat for a change.

Basically he was saying that whether ACC is real or not, nothing is going to be done about it on anywhere near the required scale so we might as well give up and try to deal with the consequences instead.

The NFU are making some good points regarding the plans to just accept that nature will take it's own course and to let it do so. They are arguing that the UK's and I guess it applies to any country really, will have to start accepting that their domestic food security will be put in danger. They claim that over a third of our most productive farmland is at or bellow sea level and losing that will put our need for imported food to the forefront of any future discussions. I said it the other day, I'll say it again, of the thousands of homes flood damaged this year only about 60 or so were in Somerset.
