The key words in your post here are "if" and "may". That is guessing. If you have a hypothesis, check it against the data.

So a couple of links from Google and the Guardian and that's proof. You must be aware There is no shortage of highly regarded scientists to disprove. Like Jesus Christ you believe or you don't Why would anyone with any sense get into your google link is more authentic than mine. Don't you think readers have had enough links today...thought there was a comp on.

LOL! I guess the bottom line is that I cant be bothered with the way you "discuss". You post a few links and if I were to post links, you'd do your usual trick of finding another link to discredit with the "my link is better than your link" attitude, and so it would go on..... Everyone simply throwing "links" at each other. How unscientific and boring is that!

We all know in the end, there are links for just about any view point, on any subject you wish to "discuss"

Yes - some people do treat their belief or otherwise in Climate Change as a religious type faith - i.e. they don't need to look at evidence (through links and so on) they just 'believe'. Hence such phrases as 'we all believe what we want to believe'. Evidence is unnecessary and therefore ignored.

The body of observed data that exists on climate change.

Stuff that has actually happened and been measured.

So because one group of people misled another group of people we are now going to give up on all scientific principle and just trust our beliefs.

Got it. I'm sure that will work out splendidly.

Yes - the guy is a complete waste of space when it comes to this sort of thing - just see his views on alternative medicine to see what he knows about science. However as your argument is a straightforward ad hominem and doesn't address any of the real issues it can be ignored.

Incidentally I am not convinced either way - I certainly am not a 'believer' (ye gods I hate that word). But the quality of argument coming from the deniers is abysmal.

No doubt.

Doesn't change the scientific method though, nor does it change the difference between research and testing, and belief.

Indeed. Belief has nothing to do with it either way.

The complete surrender of analytic thought is a bit sad.

But thats what is being disputed. Its not been established that the observed data is caused by man or that any one thing is solely responsible or indeed that the data is accurate. Thats the problem! This has created, with the help of putting the said data into a computer program, predictions that have so far has been wrong.

No, physics is the science of almost everything in life, from the way you drive your car to the food you put in you stomach... Ignorance of it is a shocking indictment of your education but don't worry, on this thread you're not alone
