On the contrary its a Spanish plot to make many Brits living in Spain, actually wake up and realise that there is another country out there and that there is more to life than UK bars and UK TV.

Not many comment on EMR's childish spelling and bad grammar despite his tedious posts questioning everyones intelligence
Yet, Domino or myself make a slip and a couple of posters are all over like a rash.
Can't be bothered to debate with an idiot who clearly hates Gibraltar solely because it is part of the UK

I will repeat whatI have posted many times.when Gib accepts all the rules and regs of being part of the UK instead of picking what it wants then I will regard it as part of the UK.
Until then it is just a hangover of empire run by those with economic self interests in NOT being a part of the UK.
JT get you facts right GIB is NOT, REPEAT NOT, part of the UK. it is a self governing overseas territory.

Right Fred and others, I agree with you 100%.
Have a vote in Gib, the inhabitants giving up their self governing status. become a UK parliamentary constituency with its own MP.
Ruled from Whitehall and subject to all UK laws and tax rules etc.
Oh I forget Turkeys do not vote for christmas.

Royal Navy strengthens presence in Gibraltar
The Royal Navy has sent additional personnel to Gibraltar to strengthen its Gibraltar Squadron in response to Spanish maritime incursions into British territorial waters.
The Gibraltar Squadron has increased from two to three crews – around 25 sailors in total – to enable 24-hour coverage, although the number of vessels they operate remains the same.
Headquarters British Forces Gibraltar announced that the Royal Navy destroyer HMS Diamond was scheduled to arrive in Gibraltar on Sunday for a week-long visit.
During its stay, the warship will conduct training off the Rock and will anchor in British waters in the Bay of Gibraltar at night.
I hope you lot in Spain have still got your cars well fueled and your bags packed

Protestors urge cross-border workers to ‘stand up for your rights’
Around 500 demonstrators gathered on the Spanish side of the border yesterday evening to clamour for an end to intense Spanish controls and lengthy queues.
This was the second demonstration in as many months organised by NGOs and individuals from Gibraltar and Spain under the banner ‘For a Humanitarian Frontier’.
Nuria Gomez, a Spanish woman who works in Gibraltar, spoke of her frustration every time that she was caught up in a queue.
To applause from the crowd, she called for unity between the people of La Linea and Gibraltar and not for hatred.
The message from the podium was international at times.
Tamara and Sonia from Luxembourg addressed the crowd in French and English, urging people affected by the queues to write to their government and politicians.
Junta chief to discuss Gibraltar border
Manuel Jiménez Barrios a senior figure of the Junta de Andalucia is to appear before the Andalusian parliaments European Affairs Committee to discuss the queues at the Gibraltar border and the impact for the area’s economy especially that of La LÃnea de la Concepción.
Speaking to reporters in Algeciras, the Minister said his appearance comes at the request of the Socialist Group. La Linea’s PSOE mayor Gemma Araujo has also invited him to see the situation at first hand. “
Sr Jimenez Barrios regretted that dialogue promised by Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo has not occurred and urged moves to ensure an early establishment of a process of dialogue.

Solve the problem by returning Gibraltar and Spain to the Moors.

Well why not go back to the original inhabitants " Gibraltar Woman " who predates Neanderthal man. That is of course if you can find any living descendents.
