Speak for your self, why should the UK public defend tax dodgers and fag smugglers.
Given that the Spanish boats would easily fit into your local boating lake what should we send one of our defunct aircraft carriers.
Funny how Fred ignored the BBC today report from Gib yet every day he posts the latest reports from the Gib propaganda department.

I doubt that this would apply to the real Gibraltarians.

Doubt if you'd even recognize one if he jumped up and bit you on the nose.

For someone so obsessed with the topic, yet displaying such a complete lack of knowledge, I wonder why you don't go and have a look for yourself and learn a little ?
After all you only live a very short distance away and I'm sure the GC will be very happy to make your aqaintance also.

All six of Gibraltar’s MEPs are expected to attend a presentation by a group of Gibraltarians travelling to Brussels to petition the European Parliament and the European Commission tomorrow.

With only 30,000 inhabitants , no more that 15,000 voters ? how can Gib have 6 MEP,s.
Is that not a bit of EU overkill.

Frontier protest in La LÃnea on Thursday
The organisers of a demonstration in La LÃnea against the Spanish frontier controls are urging as many people as possible from both sides of the border to take part. The peaceful protest will take place on Thursday at 6pm just outside the frontier precinct, where the monument to the frontier worker is situated

Unfortunately most protests on the Spanish side of the frontier end up blocking it

Fred what are the Gib authorities doing to ban the use of dangerous chemicals
involved in hull cleaning and d fouling.
I understand that this practice is carried out not just in Spanish waters but also those claimed by Gib as well.
I this true ?

THE PROTEST OUTSIDE PARLIAMENT:
Fifty concerned citizens congregated outside Parliament in Brussels during the morning to start their day of protests. Greeted by MEP Sir Graham Watson in Plaza de Luxembourg the group unfurled banners and flags and donned as much Gibraltarian clothing as possible. One man had the words “EU you talk of free movement, visit Gibraltar†emblazoned across a t-shirt. During the morning the group peacefully chanted of their love for Gibraltar and sang the Rock’s national anthem, joined by both Sir Graham and Conservative MEP Ashley Fox and later by UKIP MEP William, Earl of Dartmouth. Pic: Johnny Bugeja
A group of six concerned citizens, part of a larger delegation of Gibraltarians in Brussels this week, presented a slideshow depicting the issues at the border yesterday to MEP’s and members of the European Commission in the European Parliament.
The Earl of Dartmouth said he believes that Spain is harassing its own people and that the phrase “freedom of movement†is always being talked about in Brussels and Strasburg but that it is done feebly.
As a member of UKIP the Earl wishes for the UK, and therefore Gibraltar, to leave Europe. He said that being in Europe and having to liaise and go through
the Commission is not working for Gibraltar.

Outside the Spanish Embassy
In the afternoon, the group protested outside the EU Spanish Embassy, where Forti Azopardi handed a leaflet to an embassy representative. Today the group will protest outside the European Commission.

A trip to the rock could turn out to be an expensive day out. apparently there is a plan to introduce fines if caught feeding the apes £250-£4000.
We will see protests from the peanut sellers.?

Only expensive if you break the law and peanuts compared to the 30,000 euro fine for expressing views about Spain being deep in the mire..

Are you saying Fred that only YOUR views and reports on Gib are allowed.
I notice that you have not responded to the reports about pollution being caused by the use of dangerous chemicals in Gib waters.
Not good news for the fish you say the government wants to protect.
