Seems legit

EMR is really scraping the barrel (hopefully not full of blubber from baby seals) to get this thread locked, having exhausted any tenuous link to reality. I hope that doesn't happen. Keep posting the news Fred, I enjoy the updates.

But my ministerial position prevents me from making public statements ahead of any statement by "King Picardo"

Oh, you mean during the War of Spanish Succession to preserve the brutal Spanish empire?
Gee, I'm left wondering how anyone ever concluded that Spain was ever offensive in any way. Just minding their own business, when others came along, seizing land from them...

What was an English army doing in Flanders and Germany at the same time battles of Ramilles, Oudenarde etc picking flowers.
The war in question and British involvement was about reducing the expanding power of France who used the excuse of with rival claimants to the Spanish throne as an excuse.
Paint it any way you like Gibraltar is an itegral part of the Spanish mainland and about as part of the British Isles as the enclaves in Morroco are Spanish.

Well, I reckon it's inevitable that a fallback to the good old sandbox argument of "your daddy is worse than my daddy" is worth a shot.

Gibraltar is an "Isthmus" and in point of fact when the British obtained the Treaty possession of Gibralter there was little connection with mailand Spain save for a sand bar which has since been expanded into the airport!

Have you considered a career in comedy? I'm thinking you'd cast well as a straight man in a daft sitcom, or maybe a village idiot.

The Apes were only sent temporarily to the UK, In reality they were whisked off to the Far East as part of Gibs' drive to help speciality catering worldwide. In this case to augment restaurant businesses that specialise in eating the brains of live primates.
