Who would be so stupid to smuggle into a very small area with a monitored coastline only to then smuggle again into another country that has a wide open coast and a very tight frontier? |
Re: Gibraltar 2
Dunno, but you could try asking the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism.
They've looked into it in some detail. |

Obviously you have no idea of smuggling routes.

people smuggle cigarettes out of Gibraltar. But La Linea and those beaches of Andalusia are a hotbed for cocaine and hashish smuggling. You can be lay on the beach there and see a boat come in from Morocco and all the Morrocan’s unload it quickly and disappear. There was a good documentary on La Linea on Netflix.

If I were Gibraltar I'd sign the agreement now instead of chancing negotiating with these luminaries after the elections. |

Re: Gibraltar 2
Like most things in life, not every agreement will be 100% perfect. I'm sure it's not 100% perfect for Spain either. 80-90% is fine.
