Re: Gibralar v Spain yet again
Another good reason to sort out these mad historical anachronisms.
People-traffickers are taking money off desperate Africans, promising to smuggle them into Europe, and dumping them on these islands just off the coast of Morocco but officially part of Spain. Peñones e islotes: la nueva entrada de los ‘sin papeles’ en España |

Well if the US had taken notice of UK intelligence instead of stupidly ignoring it,then it wouldn't have happened anyway.
having spent days reading the signal files of the time it was a foregone conclusion that I could see it but "Intelligence Officers" couldn't. But I had foresight to help me. what would have happened if the carriers had also been in harbour ? however it enforces the belief that the GDY's were not ready for war, as it was a Sunday (Hawaii time) although Monday (Japan time) and who the heck would start a war at breakfast time on a Sunday ? ? most unBritish. |

Re: Gibralar v Spain yet again
Speaking on Onda Cero radio during a wide-ranging half-hour long interview, Sr Garcia-Margallo was asked about delays at the border and responded by linking them directly to the fishing dispute.

They are obviously trying to provoke an extreme reaction with their childish behaviour both at the border and at sea in the hope of getting international sympathy for their non existent case. Fortunately both the British or Gib authorities have enough sense not to take the bait. |

Anyone know what the queues are like on a Sunday these days? That's when we used to go - it was always fine.

People could still observe their own way of life, elect their own leaders and speak whatever language they want. But there would be no point in smuggling, because everything would cost the same, and no border disputes because people could come and go as they please. Ceuta, Melilla etc would have to revert to Morocco and the Falklands to Argentina. Anyone who objected would have their repatriation costs paid. |

I'd get rid of all the borders inside the EU,
But there would be no point in smuggling, because everything would cost the same, . Drug smuggling? Arms smuggling? Plus anything from cheaper source outside the EU :rofl::rofl: |
