Treat the people of Gibraltar as human beings, be friendly towards them and not antagonistic.

You are wrong, Mr. For me, like to many Spaniards, it is indifferent if the Gibraltar people want to be Spanish or not (of course, today in day they want to be British because their pirate status it allows them certain level of life, if it was on the contrary, they would be Spanish; it is not pride, it is economic status)

For me, as if tomorrow they disappear of the map, well with a new yellow fever that corrects the error of 1815, or that they are swept by a tsunami of 2 kms of height, to give two good examples. The only thing that we want is that they leave in peace to their Spanish neighbors, is or or is ok? Nothing else

I was going to say pots and kettles come to mind but in this case it wouldn't really apply as its very simply a case of getting hold of the wrong end of the stick.

Guess it is time for me to fortify my home in case Relampago decides to convince his fascist mates to ignore legal documents and take it back...I've always fancied machine gun turrets on the roof terrace.

Well the GC tried unsuccessfully to take over the Spanish parliament and Govt a few years back.

Maybe now they've decided to settle for Gibraltar instead.

According to Lampy they only want to be left in peace!;) He's obviously not an official spokesman for the Spanish Government then, they clearly want it back, along with everyone in every Spanish forum that this topic comes up in.

A controversial ruling by a Spanish judge at the European Court of Justice has triggered anger in Gibraltar and raised questions of impartiality. PublicServiceEurope.com questions whether the Luxembourg court can ever be truly independent of the interests of EU member states

I read this somewhere else, and it seems incredible that a judge from one of the two countries involved could be appointed. It says the judge was chosen at random, but that's immaterial, if there's a conflict of interest (and there clearly was) that judge should stand down and be replaced.

Apart from the question of impartiality, has any reason been given for the rejection of the appeal?

and there was me thinking that it was the Spanish who were breaking treaties, boundaries, fishing in someone else's pond, sending their police boats into another country - right up to the jetty in at least one case.

tell you what - swop you Gibraltar for Mellila and Cueta with Canaries thrown in for good measure

I believe it was for technical reasons, i.e. they did not address the actual situation.
Maybe we forgot to submit the paperwork in Spanish
