actually you made me think a minute there, so I checked

click here & read all about it!

never heard of Hendersons, but as I don't like anything along those lines at all, I'll just have to believe him

Thank you, will check out the recipes to find new ones for a change.

I use worcester sauce in lasagne, spag bol, casseroles etc but he uses it on cheese on toast too.

Hi Rosemary

I read your question some time ago, but then I had my PC probs and forgot all about it

I spent ages looking for antibacterial spray here, and had no luck at all.
A friend suggested I made my own......................................

I buy a bottle of "alcohol" (like you get in the Euro shops, something like 70 cents a bottle - the kind of stuff you use for cleansing, as opposed to drinking! )
Then I add several squirts of antibacterial Fairy liquid, and that's it - works perfectly
You just need an empty bottle with a trigger spray to put it into.

Having said all that, I actually saw some antibacterial spray in LIDL very recently.
Don't know whether you have a Lidl store anywhere near you?
Personally, I'm sticking with my home made stuff, because it's really cheap, works well and lasts ages.

Hope that helps?

there are lots of old fashioned cleaning things we don't use anymore, maybe because we're bombarded with all the fancy ones in nice trigger packs! vinegar, bicarb, even salt can be used for various cleaning things, how cheap are all of those!!

you can also wash your hair with beer, you boil it to remove the alcohol then mix 50/50 with shampoo.

Cough, cough, splutter, splutter cannot believe that you have suggested that beer should go anywhere apart from down your throat.

Good Luck with your move today.

Really nice new potatoes, rhubarb, clotted cream, damsons. If anyone gives me another aubergine I will ................... On another note in the sixties we used to rinse our hair in beer or vinegar for shine. Must have smelt lovely.
