Hi to all,
I'm sitting here among heaps of boxes and stuff I didn't know I had. Carriers coming on Thursday to take my stuff. I'll be staying in the flat with what's left until 8th May, then into temporary accommodation until the work is finished on the house in Alhaurin, and my contract comes to an end. Hopefully will be in by the end of May. Will be over week after next to see how the work is coming on. Tomorrow I will pack my computer. Feeling quite nervous today. I just want to get going now.
Good luck to all that are moving very soon!!!

So, 5 hours til my train leaves.
My mate Tom came round earlier and moved all the 'big things' to mums. I gave the key to my neighbour and told him to take whatever he wants.
So I just went to my local, had a pint before I went, bought a big fat chinese meal for one (
Never had to do that before
) and am considering packing my clothes at the mo. I do like last minute decisons.
Hehe.

Enjoy why you can, I have been in search of a decent Chinese here in the Chiclana area for 4 years and I'm still looking. A friend told me there is a decent one in Cadiz, so I think we will have to make tracks for there one day soon. Oh, and someone said in P S Maria there was some good ones as they cater for the US air base so that's another day out. Get packing, if not you will be like me the car will be waiting outside the door to take you to airport an you will be in side rushing around packing.

Right stuff is all packed, stomach is churning a good un, just about to pack away my PC and store it at my mates (I have to wake him up in my taxi on the way to the train station, he's a legend) and off to Spain pronto.
Really am scared at this point, but remembering all the advice from the lovely people here, will find myself a hotel for a while, whilst I sort out something more permanent. What the hell am I doing?
I hope to meet some of you guys out there in the near future, as im thinking this will be a long journey mentally.
But Im excited, I really am.
Earlier tonight, I went to the local shop to get some electric on my key meter thingymebob and I noticed that the local shopkeeper had a black eye. Naturally (Well for me anyway) I asked if he was ok, and he went on to explain that he had gotten it from the 'local kids' who hang round his shop because he had refused to serve them cigarettes without ID. They had written 'PAKI' on the outside of his shop in spray paint too. As the conversation went on, I found out, that his wife too had been assaulted and that they kicked the window in from the door.
Further convo's revealed the couple were from Sri Lanka, their home town was war torn and full of sadness, they had lost their daughter in a 'peace mission killing', his words, and up to this point he has lived in the UK for 14 years without any racist attacks.
At that point I apolgised for the people who did it to them. I almost felt responsible. I also realised why I'm leaving.
No es aceptable para mi asi.
That is the only sentence I know
I'll be back when im a real expat
