No such regulation.
Just an age old tradition.
Doesn't apply to Italy unfortunately.
This one was obviously too busy going down on his blonde,
Or maybe more into muff diving, than diving in to rescue someone.

It does apply here otherwise it wouldn't be one of the accuses brought against him by the prosecutor.

Theres a difference between literally going down with the ship which doesn't apply by law,...... as against staying on board and doing everything reasonably possible to help safely evacuate as many passengers as humanly possible which is what does apply.

Picture the scene total darkness two scared men running up and down a tilted ship with 4200 soles on board all with sense enough to try to get off, would you suggest he/they be outside or inside I wonder?

If he/they hadn't fallen into the lifeboats and accidentally got them launched I am sure he would have helped,, by pushing folk along, the guy is obviously one of those that bad luck follows, I bet he was on a promise that evening too and missed that:p ...Spare a thought:p

Sorry about Linch, due to drink, Bet was on my mind for a refill:p

So has the prosecutor actually accused him of not going down with the ship?

Probably wishes he had by now,(promise or not),though it hasn't quite gone down yet.
Seems it could well go under if the weather worsens and it continues to slip.

Surprised they haven't tried to anchor it back with heavy chains and ropes to something solid on the island to hold it in place.
In it's present sideways position I would have thought it quite possible, but I suppose they have their reasons.

According to Sky that is what they will do. Salvage are standing by.

Surely they could have been getting on with it before its too late.
What's left of the rescue job is looking hopeless now and in any event they could possibly still have been getting on with it.

If it's allowed to slip off the ledge and under water, simply due to undue delay, thats going to be gigantic cock-up number two with 2500 tons of fuel and oil on board !

Yes - if nothing's been done to try to secure it by now what on earth are they thinking of?

So the black box was knackered...que sopresa:sneaky: I have a feeling Costa and ultimately Carnival aren't going to come out clean either.

Have read carnival have been making phone calls to some passengers asking them if they have been suffering nightmares/flashbacks etc:confused:
