Wonder if the Greeks are embarrased to be Greek now the world's financial systems have been upset by their government
Strange those queues at the polling stations
Turnout isn't all that much higher. Lot of them seemed to be students too. Said on TV that they may get around £750 each for a yuman rights breach. If they have another election this year (which is looking possible) half the country will turn up at 9.45!

With all this negativity about the world's financial markets, is there any country in the world (or even Europe) whose economy HASN'T suffered in the 'global recession'? Whose economy is strong, stable, reliable and DOESN'T seem likely to follow the current trend?
If so, do they need any IT staff?!?!?!?!
We'll pack our bags and move there tomorrow
P.S. They also need to have a lower cost of living than the UK ;-)

Japan is set to inject more cash into its economy to stave off knock-on effects from the Greek debt crisis currently spooking global markets.

From: That, there, that's not my post count... nothing to see here, move along.

They had from 7 am until 10 PM to vote.... that is 15 hours. Now forgive me if I am not quite seeing the problem here but in 15 hours you could fly to bloody America and back!

In some cases it was down to shortage of suitable staff, possibly because many had been laid off or else replaced with computers and telephone answering machines.
To cut costs even further, maybe they will computerise the next big election and divert all the postal votes through an Indian counting centre.
Should be interesting....

United Arab Emirates boasts one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. The UK’s Guardian calls it the home of the “Arabian Dream,†the world’s new version of the American dream.
The UAE’s international problems revolve more around money laundering than the US financial crisis which must be a good sign.
