The Garden Centre seemed to be expensive (around 250Euros for Weber bbqs which are around £70 in Argos in the UK)
Are there any good on-line stores?

Hi Mike
You could try having a look in the two hardware shops in Lepe if you are passing

Hi Bryony

Thank you very much, will have a look in Sept and hopefully get this all in place for next year........where does the time go !

This is why I like this be forum and esp this thread somebody will always come up with an answer.

BTW some extra info for those interested. I have just booked car hire for my July holiday with a friend and a small car (Opal Corsa type) for the 2 of us with A/con, manual gears and no extra charges for cross border travel £153 for 9 days. Best I could find, this is with Master Kings booked via Dovehouse Travel. You pay a small deposit to Dove and the balance in Euros to M/Kings on collection.

All the best

Mel

Hi Mel,

It is worth trying to negotiate a frequent use deal. We do about 7 visits pa and have got prices of about £8.60 per day low season, 12.21 per day mid season and 13.80 per day high season all including driving in spain. This looks to be about 20% less than your current booking. If you want the contact please send me a PM

Mel, why don´t you have a little wooden shed built, seems to me much nicer than a plastic box......

On another subject, Car rental agencies. Which Spanish ones would be considered the best considering rates and service ?

mmmm...good point, and probably it wouldn't fade, stress or warp in the sun as much as a plastic one would. Showing class Jur !

It's a minefield, a friend going to Alicante airport next week booked an estate car for £98 for a week .....is Faro dear to rent from then ?

You can choose to have treated wood which is more expensive or have it painted with Barniz for wood. I´ve bought unpainted pine window frames and used this Barniz for madera and the wood is still in excellent condition after 3 years!

Ray,

I don't know about the Services but when we arrive on a Sunday, we shop at Lidl in Vila Real Santo Antonio. This is open 9am to 9pm 7 days a week. You can then get more than just the basics!

John.
