I'm imagining that the contraption reduces down to the size of a bag of golf clubs? lol Which reminds me: I am on to my second lot of furniture covers for the patio (exposed area). Has anyone found a material that does not disintegrate in the sun? |

As previously posted, the "Book Club" now operates on a Wednesday afternoon, and the free, always available, collection I started appears to have dissappeared. I hope your next trip to CE is not from Thursday to Tuesday, or you may not get to read a book at all ! Not really what I had in mind. What's that saying about 'If its not broken......' ;) |

OK it was a bit hit and miss whether there was a book there you fancied but presume the new system will be the same. As you say, sometimes you may not be there on a Wednesday afternoon and then not only are you stuck with the books you want to exchange but you cannot get a new read either. However, on our next visit we are there on a Wednesday, so providing we are not out and about I shall pay a visit. Another question, has anyone been to the El Rocio pilgrimage? There was a great programme about it on TV a few weeks ago. It would appear that it does get very busy (think that might be an under statement) but just wondered if anyone knew whether its worth visiting on, say, the Saturday to see them arriving. It looks as though it is something that shouldn't be missed and it would be great to see El Rocio come 'alive'. |

Although I am sure at some point I will pay a visit |

Hi everybody
Good news - perhaps. I was checking some old papers and realised that there is a possibility that some people are due some money... for completions on CE. Before we completed, our lawyer needed to be sure that there were enough funds available to complete, so he estimated all the charges - and there are quite a few. This is acceptable I think, so I had no issue paying up front. Afterwards, we asked for a proper account of the actual/real charges, and got a very nice surprise. We were due quite a nice payment, not insignificant at all... and worth going for. As someone who likes going out for a meal, anything that is a nice meal in value terms is worth going for, I think. And our refund was that and much more! :drinkwine: I also spoke to another owner who had the same good experience - a nice refund. However he found out months later, purely by chance, and it could have been overlooked over time - if he didnt have to go to the lawyer over another matter. If your lawyer did the same estimation process, and if you havent been given a final account, you never know, there may be a nice surprise waiting for you - if so my commission charge is simply ...... a beer :) Cheers Jon Who owed you the money, your solicitor or the bank ?. How did you go about getting it back ? Regards Dave |

Regards Dave Sorry if I wasnt clear, in our case the lawyer estimated all the charges, and we paid in advance - and of course he over estimated.. so he had the money. As much as I deeply regret using my lawyer, I do understand that in this particular subject, he did nothing wrong, making sure that there was enough money up front to complete... better safe than sorry. I got the money as I chased it and was there in Ayamonte to ensure that I got it. Note, I dont want to set false expectations: as there may be no refund, and the lawyer might have correctly calculated it. Also you may have already gotten it somehow. But I think some people didnt realise that these charges were estimated and havent thought about querying the final account with the lawyer. I'm not the only one that has had a good refund. The refund was well worth it, for us - a significant amount. It may not be the same, if any, for others. So this post only applies to someone if 1) they paid UP FRONT for their completion and if 2) they havent had a final account after completion. BTW this is a shame to have to chase it up and not just receive it, but hey if you get something as a result of this, it could be a nice surprise. Mr Positive talking here :) Hope this helps anyone in the above situation, and of course the lawyer is obligated to return any outstanding money, if you fit into this situation - if so theres no harm in asking surely? Regards + good luck Jon |

Thanks Carol E.
Had a quick read up on it. Like the rating of "easy" to "moderate" walk (prefer the "easy"). Safe journey home. Been on any romerias, old soul? ;) Re Gazebo yes its a gadget that reduces to about a golb bag in diameter and maybe 50% higher than a loaded bag. Still its 12kg and a hassle to lug around. But it will be a one - off. Regards Jon |
