I am told they have managed to refinance a development in Morocco which was key to their survival but they still obviously need to do the same at Esuri to be able to finish the phases they have started.
I was there in October and there was maybe a dozen or so workers on site so not really much activity considering the amount of work still outstanding. I have some pictures of the site if you are interested. The site office was open sporadically when we were there. Also they have indefinately postponed all of the other phases. Phase 1 completion is due 1st Q 2009 plus the 3 month allowance making it due finally on the 1st of June 2009. Not sure about Phase 2.

I would not be at all surprised if they had stopped work completely.

Hope this helps.
does anyone have the contact details of the administrators,

Be good to get as many of the Tasa buyers together as possible.
If you are out there please get in touch.

Update

This info came from "sources close" a couple of week ago but due to personal reasons I was unable to post.

1. MF have been trying to flog off their landbank and building sites to various Sovereign funds and/or the private investment vehicles of those that control the funds. The offer price is less than the MF Debt. The Negotiations have, to date, failed.

2. Since MorganS and others were selling off MF stock at a 50% discount monthes ago ( which I have previously posted about) MF Cash Flow has collapsed, Sales are close to non existent, assets valuations have been slashed and YTD MF has lost a further 250 Million Euro before write offs.

3. MF’s have approached their Main Creditors with a deal asking them to write off 50% of the debt with the other 50% being repaid over the long term and at frozen or reduced interest rates. Under this plan MF propose to repay the other creditors in full in 2 to 5 years time.

Hi,

I have just tested it a few times and it is valid which is just as well as it is the official one given out by the Administators so there must be a problem at your/your ISP end.

If you Email/PM the failure message you are getting I will take a look and advise.

PS Caps make no difference in email addresses.

If you are getting a getting a 550 5.1.1 recipient rejected error it is odds on the email is valid and it is an ISP problem and the problem will reslove itself soon.

The email John posted is accurate.

Does any forum member have broadband at CE, what type, and roughly how much?
I know that it is there as I have used the WiFi at the clubhouse. I heard that one can get ADSL if you have a telephone line from Telefonica but it sounded a bit expensive and I can't justify a monthly bill until I become a permanent resident (soon I hope ). Does 3G work there? In which case who is the best/cheapest provider.
Any help or hints gratefully received.

Hi Mike, I found a solution by buying a HSPDA/3G/GSM dongle from the TMN phone shop in VR San Antonio. (CE gets a stronger mobile signal from Portugal than Spain). The dongle is similar to the Vodafone Mobile broadband dongle you can buy in the UK. It cost 60Euro's and fits into the USB port. It came with 20 Euro's worth of credit, and you can purchase additional credit from the shop or newspaper Kiosks in VR. If I remember right it was 30Euro's for 1GB of data.

I worked for 7 days from CE, and was connected 24/7, with a very fast connection - faster than my home broadband - I was constantly on email, family were using Skype, MSN and the web everynight - used about75% of the 1 Gb allowance. The 1Gb allowance is valid for 3 months - use or lose.

So for a 60Euro outlay plus 30Euro's a week I have a very fast broadband that works in CE everytime I visit.
Regards
AlandEve

A word of warning! If you are going to use a 3g connection or your mobile, make sure it doesn't roam to Portugal, else you could face some huge bills!
