Hi
Hear's a little tip about Intasure you may not know about.
We have insured with them for several years now.
When we wanted to increase the value of our contents by a few thousand pounds, there was no extra cost to our premium, they lump ie; £ 10,000.00-£15,000.00 of cover @ the same price
They don't inform you of the maximum cover for your premium ( or they never use to) unless you ask.)
We got an extra £4000 of cover one year at no extra cost

Chris

Can anyone out there tell me if A&A solicitors are still operating in Ayamonte. I know they had moved down to opposite the ferry. I used them last year to file my 2006 Spanish Tax Return and need to get my 2007 one sorted, but have been unable to contact them. If they have gone, can someone pm me with recommendations for a good and reasonable accountant to do this. I'm coming over late September and want to sort this out and my Council Tax which I know is overdue. Very grateful for any advise.

Last week the ERG petrol station appeared open on the right hand side in the Huelva direction, at the very next roundabout.... (i.e both sides open) however if you are going in that direction, you need to take the SLIP ROAD that leads of 'our roundabout' at CE/Ayamonte Norte. Take the slip and not the m-way and fill up and continue on. The ERG's are rarely busy like GALP and BP in town and now you can access them from either direction leaving/coming back. I avoid the GALP as the people behind the counter have no issue keeping peolpe waiting before they zero the pumps...

Prices are good too at ERG.

Regards
Jon

It is open.

Many thanks Sal. Email address is one I have been using but have not heard back from them which is a bit frustrating as usually very efficient. Anyway, will have another go (fourth attempt) with fingers crossed.

Your 2008 council tax wll not be overdue untill the end of September so you could still do it. We went into the council tax office between the town hall square and the ferry next to the ice cream shop in July and paid.

Ramon Ojeda Martin (Graduo Social) is very very good

Ramon does not speak English but his wife does very well so if you want to make an appointment ring her on 959 470 703 and she will act as your interpreter.

Thanks for the above - very useful. Have made a note and if A&A don't respond will give your man, or rather his wife, a call as soon as I get over. You know what it's like, when you're only over for a few days you have to try and get as much done as possible.

Thanks again.:)

Tell me about it! I make two three day trips a year on my own to check progress on the villa and I have an agenda typed out with timings since we know that in summer all the places that you want to get into close at 1 or 2 for the day. So day one is the banks, day 2 the council offices and day 3 the Hacienda. Of course that means a lunch from 2 -4 then the architects, the site and other odds and sods. Her in doors says that from 20.00 my times my own but be in bed by midnight "sober" so that I can start again at o8.00

Andy

I took the trouble of asking Hilton Hotels if this story was true and this is the reply I have received. I understand it has been signed over but who to I don't know.

Hi Graham,

Many thanks for your email which Linda has forwarded on to me. We have identified Spain as one of our key strategic development markets and we see a very real opportunity for us to introduce our extensive Hilton Family of Hotels in key cities and regional centres. Whilst we have not announced plans for a hotel in Andelucia, we are actively looking at development opportunities in more than 20 cities across the country.

Kind Regards

Iain

Just received an email from ADA attaching a letter dated today from Martinsa Fadesa, announcing that the permanent electicity supply to Rago 1 and RVA1 will be connected tomorrow. As from Friday, property owners with the correct documentation can enter into a supply agreement with Sevillana Endesa. We have 15 days in which to do it, apparently!

Smart work by MF's new administrators, I suspect - perhaps helped along by the town council applying pressure?

Hi

Any news about the amber alert and temperatures? In July it got to 38 but as another poster mentioned, (sorry I forgot who I was catching up on several days posts and saw it before) - we rarely used the A/C as keeping the windows open with the mozzie nets was usually enough. There was a nice x-flow of air.

However when the wind dropped and the sun was full-on then it came in handy. I was actually questioning the A/C as it was the costliest single item for us..

However if it can get any higher and the wind drops - then we will be glad to have it.

On another point, there is a great gadget called a super gazebo. I have no commercial conection with the company. Its a 3x3m gazebo that concertinas and goes up in a minute and great for the terrace. It has side walls but I reckon it would be easy to make mozzie nets for it and therefore sit outside have drinks food etc in the shade and in the evening be outside and mozzie free. I went on E-bay and got a stonker of a deal a 199quid gazebo for less than 40 NEW.

You can see it in action on this page half way down on the video clip

http://www.pitchwell.com/Shop/pc/vie...?idproduct=116

Now Ive got to figure out how to get this to Spain!!

Thanks
Jon

What is the correct documentation. I believe I need to pick something up from the shed? I'm not going to be over for a few weeks and can't seem to get hold of my solicitor. Any information as to what I need to do would be warmly welcomed!!!
