Can anyone give details of the process involved in re-registering a foreign car (from Ireland in my case) in Spain and how the road tax and insurance works there and the likely costs involved. I could probably keep it under Irish plates for a period but I'd rather do it 'properly'.

Thanks,
Seamus

I hope you were determined enough to keep taking pictures as they dragged you away?

Every time I play golf I always win.My mates asked how are you so lucky as to win every time.I told him my wife kisses my balls for luck before I tee off.

Weather here continues to be mixed but several things are happening that may be of interest:

1) After an intensive day or so of prep, Golf 2 now has flags and tee markers - someone was actually playing it today (Golf pro maybe), so I am largely guessing that they are testing it ahead of a soft opening or maybe some publicity shots.

2) The TV cameras have been here this week...maybe in relation to Golf 2, I don't know.

3) The small commercial unit by the RVA 1 townhouses is being worked on most days. Having mixed several tons of cement, they now look like they have the trades in and seem to have wired it up but it is far from ready to go - maybe another 5-6 weeks or so. Rumour has it that it will be a small bread/coffee shop during the day and a bar later on in the evening.

4) The apartments next to the main commercial centre that are rendered have now starting receiving some paint, albeit seemingly at random. Either way, it improves the view a little.

5) The main commercial centre is getting regular attention but it's hard to see any progress from the outside.

That's about it for now.

I'm hoping to be over during the first week of July. Unfortunately (or fortunately) depending on which way you look at it I'll be over alone this time. Does anyone fancy a game of golf? When are the weekly competitions?

Late breaking news. I heard from our management the following:

Today they received the payments of the 2nd qtr 2008 fees from Marinsa-Fadesa for all the properties they own . There is also a promissory note due on 25/06/08 which covers all the Community and Inter-Community fees due from Martinsa-Fadesa.

I've checked the date and it's not 1st April - not sure when the Spanish All fools day is though
