Your post mentioning St Georges, reminded me of a fascinating story involving the medical school there, an Indian TV presenter, a young Muslim girl and the Guardian newspaper----

About 20 years ago Lucy Mathen qualified as a doctor at St Georges, she had been a presenter with John Craven on children's TV. She was Indian origin, the first as a TV presenter, she left and became a doctor.
A young Muslim girl Samira Ahmed was inspired and wrote to the programme, she later became a journalist writing the article below in the Guardian.

Wonder why that is? Whilst we are in the Plaza de Toros where pretty much anything goes, it's a sub group of Britishexpats/Spain, so people came here for that very reason, they were British with an interest in Spain. Now we have nutters from all over the place whose only interest is to try and convince us via an avalanche of posts that all Muslims and all their practices are good for us. They've probably all moved on to a forum that talks about Spain occasionally.

Two NHS doctors were behind the Glasgow airport attack incident a few years ago.

One can only hope that the planning and bomb making was done in their own time, and not while being on duty and receiving t pay from the taxpayer, ie the very people they were trying to kill and maim.

As a British expat with an interest in Spain. I was surprised at all the posts initiated, about Muslims, Immigrants, "Asians" etc. and British Standards.

By the way did you see Newsnight yesterday, a report from west africa where local women are forming groups to resist FGM and seek treatment to repair the damage done to them.
They are facing problems with the authorites but their husbands fathers seem to be supporting them.
