Fuel at £2 a litre
Kids controlling the housing estates
Roads in total gridlock

Most of that doesnt bother me , as all i want is a peaceful easy laid back life well away from the tourism and noise and hassles , which you will not get cheaply in Uk ..

Pete. just because I am aware of the short fallings a country has doesn't mean that I don't want to be there.

I, unlike you don't think the UK is as bad as people say.

Civil liberties you say, live in the Middle East, there are no civil liberties.

ID cards you say, they may help stem crime, high light potential bombers, help catch criminals, good I say.

The list is endless.
But as I have said, I want to be there because I love the people, the lifestyle of the Spanish and a thousand other things.

I have nothing against the UK

OK, I moan about the high taxes and cost of living but to me theres no more varied and beautiful country in the world that I've visited.

I love the countryside, the villages and the country pub socialising.

When you get to Majorca you will be picking all the things you don't like there I bet you. You'll like the low taxes, but maybe like me you won't be too happy with the roads, some of which were last re surfaced when Franco was alive :D

No I don't think that a terrorist would carry an ID card that is genuine, but Pete, best not to talk about terrorists while talking about moving to Spain, ETA are by far more active than almost any other Terror group.

The thing is Pete, you are moving out of the UK now, at what? 45-55 years old?

If it was such a bad place then you should have gone long ago, like I did, like so many expats did.

I know loads going and everyone i speak to wants to go , now doesnt that tell you something :blink:

I have 2 friends keep on at me to set a business up or something and they would be over in a flash , so maybe its that kent people have there eyes opened maybe :)
