as you are making out you are young, bright, successful why should you put your life on hold - the world is your oyster.
and there are others out there more practiced at it than you.
just remember that when you get to 64 you should have salted all your belongings away, got yourself a rented flat and make yourself redundant then you can start claiming all your benefits. As it is paid in to bank account when you reach the right point you can start taking 6m holidays in Spain, Goa, Ruba or wherever you want.

However I dont want anything that is not rightfully mine, if I have to do dodgy dealings, living like something I am not, for a small amount of extra money and go and plead poverty, when I dont need to, I would not bother.
If however by the timeI am 64 and find myself in that situation, I would not hesitate to seek help by way of benefits, because that is what they are there for.
You really do have a sickening attitude, ie screw the mug taxpayer. Others do it why not me. Wrong plain wrong.

I have worked in the public sector, lately helping longterm unemployed to target their jobseeking efforts, getting them training and applying for jobs. I have seen some of the most blatent scams possible, leaving school to have a child, not worked for 18years and now at 36 having no work record. Guy of 55 can't work due to "illness", but walks down the pub 7 days a week from 2 til 8 (or later).
I have seen a couple who have worked all their lives at the same company, where they met and married, and now at 55+ find the company closed the site and gone inside 3months with no support for their staff. Even their training has no relevence as it was done "inhouse" and not properly certified. They just want, want, to work. its all they know.
all I am doing is telling you how it is in the UK benefits cycle. Are you that naive having read previous postings on this forum from people wanting to come to Spain with their Benefits ?

No, all you are doing is telling us how it works for a small percentage of the population. We all know people that will abuse it, whole families in some cases, and some areas are much worse than others. However, if looking after a lot of genuine needy and sick individuals means a percentage of undeserving people will be in receipt of benefits, I find that better than simply abandoning the genuine cases. The system is far from perfect, but I bet there are a lot of people in Spain that would love to have some of those benefits available to them. And as much as people in these forums love to slag off UK, it's not unusual to see question asking what more can they get from UK. And despite all the fiddling that goes on, there is still £8 billion unclaimed benefits by people entitled to it.

Our parents and their parents had a need for benefits and didnt take them because they didnt want the indignity of Means Tests. Thats why so many didnt apply for what they were entitled to.
Yes there are many out there who dont take a penny even though they are entitled. Partly because of ignorance of entitlement and also because they feel they don't need it.
We can only do the best we can, and yes it is galling to know that the senior banker on £5-6m pa is also entitled to child benefits, cold weather, bus pass and all the other things.
ISTR Sir Lew Grade saying he didnt want all these extras but there was no way he could stop them. He was over 70 and still had his driver pick him up at 7.30 to go to the office. I think he had tried to return his OAP as not needed but I think at 75 you cannot put it off any longer.

I did not thing I would have to explain it to such an educted fella as yourself with a desk job.
So to avoid confusion should I use the word YOUS?

A few examples are listed below.
one is often replaced by you.
One would think the airlines would have to close down.
One would [You'd] think the inner dome of heaven had fallen.
The young comedian was awful; one felt embarrased for him.
If one fails, then one must try harder next time.
When the pronoun one is used in the numerical sense, a different pronoun can be used in a subsequent reference.
Get it now does one?

You really are a plonker, dont you understand English grammer, the YOU is not always used as a direct YOU. It is used insted of ONE and also as there is no plural YOU, it means "vosotros" as well IN GENERAL TERMS

I said that your attitude was sickening, not that you live like that,(you still need to show me where I didif you are so sure that you are right) there are loads of people who have the same attitude and voice it, but they dont do it either, and carry one with their normal lives.
