It could be but I can't see how it fits the clue.

I thought that original sin was disobedience or given that Eve's involved maybe 'temptation'

I'll just have to keep racking my brains.

These are both very difficult.

I have answers for both but as I've resorted to 'cheating' I'll back off as I don't want to seem undeservedly clever.

The answer to the first one is 'roald'

I only know because I went out and bought todays paper to check the answers.

After ten minutes of googling I still can't find any connection with the clue.
