There are elements of the Army already down there. A company sized infantry unit (120 blokes) is always on station at MPA. (Mount Pleasant Air base )

Agree thanks to the latest cuts , but you have to remember that the Argies have limited military resources now also and there is a viable airlink to MPA via Ascension which didnt exist in 82
