Yes it is expensive, cheese and Vla (custard in huge cartons) is cheap so a nice healthy diet.

Hi there

no such thing as hypermarkets in Holland, no big Tesco's, Sainsburys etc, think of grocery shopping in the UK about 50 years ago and there you have it. Twee /quaint though.

Hi thanks for all that useful information, especially the help with childrens uniform which can cost an arm and a leg!!!!!
OH is one level below, senior researcher so I presume would get similar ish...

OH on flight on Saturday to Sydney University, will do presentation on Tuesday, interview on Wednesday then back home. Anyone had any experience of interviews / working for Universities over...

Hi we lived in Utrecht for about 2 years and loved it. As for communting in Holland bike 1st train next which seemed to be far more reliable than Thameslink. Good luck
