My wife is joining queensland police and is heading over next week. I am staying in the UK for another month or so to sort things out :p

Just received the email, Permanent visa granted for my wife :)

Lodged the 9th May 2012 - granted 7th November 2012

We found the process fairly easy after gathering info and proof. The paperwork...

We sent our case officer a quick email and asked, she came back with this date!
Just over the 6 month turnaround, my wife completed her medical around 5 months ago when requested.

My wife sent hers through royal mail Airsure. It cost £12.38 and it's traceable all the way until signed for on delivery

The WAPOL site says all costs for visas and travelling is down to the applicant! This is quite a expense for people who are considering, just a heads up

Does anyone know if they pay a relocation allowance or any funding for the move if successful getting through?
Also do they honour your full service as a UK officer? Ie salary?

Great news for officers if the London drive comes off. Luckily for my wife she will be able to apply through lateral entry once her permanent visa arrives in the next couple of months.

I have my full bike license in the UK which I think is transferable. I enjoyed the job in the UK until Royal mail made major cuts.

I was told through email by my case officer October time this was 2 1/2 months ago. Fingers crossed might send her another email just to confirm :/
