Is it possible to get SMP priority on an 885?

I lodged an 885 visa in August 2010. If I get state sponsorship after the SMPs are out, will I be able to move to category 2 even on an 885 or do I need to re-apply for an 886 with new visa...

By the way, don't you need to re-apply for the 176 with a new visa application fee once the SMPs are out in order to be elevated to priority level 2?... or are all pre-1 July 2010 applicants...
