Is it possible to get SMP priority on an 885?

I lodged an 885 visa in August 2010. If I get state sponsorship after the SMPs are out, will I be able to move to category 2 even on an 885 or do I need to re-apply for an 886 with new visa...

I applied for an 885 in August 2010. I was wondering if it was possible to apply for another 886 while keeping my current 885 or do I have to withdraw my 885 in order to apply for an 886?

By the way, don't you need to re-apply for the 176 with a new visa application fee once the SMPs are out in order to be elevated to priority level 2?... or are all pre-1 July 2010 applicants...

Congrats! You lucky, lucky person. So DIAC have moved to September 08 with the offshore 175/174 visas? Any news on where they are up to with onshore 885/886 applicants?

Well, when someone says 'electrical engineer', normally we think of electrical, electronics or telecom engineer... even mechatronic but NOT civil! I will forgive you for saying a civil engineer ...
