The I-94 and/or visa should be what is needed to verify status, if that is in fact what they are trying to do. The passport does not do that.

You send copies, not the original. Also include a current pay stub for your spouse to prove that he is still in status working for his employer. Include a copy of your spouse's I-94 too.

I think there was a specific period of time where there was a lot of immigration from India. So maybe once the 2007 priority dates clear up, things would move a little faster? Hopefully, anyway!

Rete, she's most likely from Nigeria, as I am. I know a few people who decided to have their kids in the US or UK. A lot of it has to do with the medical care and some to do with having a US citizen...

Relates to manager or executive is just the L-1A general description. It has nothing to do with rejections.
