According to this (https://motor.elpais.com/actualidad/la-comision-europea-senala-a-espana-y-la-dgt-por-la-baliza-v16-obligatoria-pero-deja-una-duda-clave-en-el-aire/), the EU's concern is if the...

Re: interesting new tax return rules (min wage workers)

Use a calculator to see if you have to pay more or get a return and if you would have to pay more you don't declare. Maybe your autonomous region has tax credits for certain things as well. To be...

Re: EES & ETIAS update and explanation

The first question you are asked by the EES machine is if you hold an EU residency card (not just a Spanish residency card), if you answer yes you are told to go to manual booth, not the EES gate.

Re: EES & ETIAS update and explanation

I would take what the Express says with a pinch of salt. This is clearly explained and it was published on the Interior Ministry's website:

Re: Anyone ever claimed expenses for hospital visits?

Maybe it's something social security doesn't subsidise? In that case the box isn't perforated around the barcode so the chemist can't easily remove it and stick it to their sheet.

Otherwise I'm...

Re: Anyone ever claimed expenses for hospital visits?

Is it a private hospital? If so, that happens and to get your money back you go to a social security doctor to get the same thing put on your card then you can go to the chemist and get a refund, if...

Re: Supermarket shopping habits

My better half tells me Lidl and Aldi look cheaper mostly because they sell in smaller quantities, but the price is the same per unit or by weight.

On the other hand lately in Mercadona there's a...

Re: EES & ETIAS update and explanation

Not for full-time brits, they should be residents by now.

But for part-time brits, the border will be subject to "computer says no" syndrome.

Re: Leaving and re-entering Span whilst awaiting residency

I think you might only be asked questions if the stamps you have in your passport on the way in make it look like you've overstayed.

Have you kept any kind of resguardo or your copy of the...

Re: 25/2/2026: New rule for British dual nationals - must travel on UK passport

For a British-Spanish child living in Spain it would have to be the British one.

Re: 25/2/2026: New rule for British dual nationals - must travel on UK passport

25/2/2026: New rule for British dual nationals - must enter UK on UK passport

This will affect those of us with British-Spanish children. It won't affect those with Irish-Spanish children.
