$3k is the used's car price. Whereas $250 (third party) and $800 (comp.) are two options for me. Just wanted to check that if lot of people generally go with 'third party property damage' insurance.

I've got a used car for around $3K and I don't care if it gets stolen or damaged. So I've planned to do third party insurance which is costing me around $250 per year as compared to full insurance...

Yes mate, its quite easy here as compared to India. Just 2.2 hrs each way in the wonderful public transport. Need to do this for another month or 2 before my office gets shifted to South Melb.

Yes, its very cold here. Yesterday I missed my bus so I had to wait around 30 mins at an unsheltered bus stop, while cool breeze was blowing (gust is stronger near the Bay area) and freezing droplets...

I found a difference of 2 years and 3 years in some cases. Vicroads check is a must I guess.
