You got your number by phone? Wow! They did not issue my hubby's ssn. They told him it would be 2 weeks before he got the number. Congrats!

I was given the wrong information by the INS...

I was given the wrong information by the INS national service center. I called several times about this and they told me that you must have your I-130 approval before filing for adjustment of status...
