Yes... a couple we know who have a place on the outskirts of our village have not only got to give up part of their land for a road they do not want, but also have to pay for the privilege.:eek:...

Hello it's me again!

I was talking to some newly arrived expats last night and they say that the law is about to change re importing cars and it will no longer be necessary.

Is this correct?

ve had an e-mail from the Gestor and can collect evverything on Thursday! We now have our Spanish number!

The strongly worded e-mail obviously worked!

Some Update: My husband sent a strongly-worded e-mail to the Gestor (via the translator) telling him that we had been stopped and questioned by the Guardia and the Gestor replied that he had sorted...

Her car is Spanish! Bought here in Spain and Spanish registered. I personally think he was delaying because she is a foreign (German) woman on her own.

You can't insure with Linea Directa anyway...
