Yes that's what I'm reading. Can you tell me where it says that they accept anything other than UK tax returns and SA300/SA302 as evidence? Thanks. I mean foreign country tax returns.

Yes but when you live abroad your base of office changes so you're not liable to pay any tax to the UK. I have my own records of earnings that I do myself though.
