We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 4, 2018.
We sent you correspondence...

We still haven't heard anything - no request for fingerprints (my name is pretty rare) so i'm hoping to hear about a date soon - before my blood pressure gets any higher LOL

Well, still no news on my application - I just checked and it still says "Processing"
They started processing on December 4th - they received my application in September and opened it on November...

Seems to make sense - I googled myself and found about 10 - none in Canada and most of the ones I found were obits, lol

Hopefully that means I won't have to do it!

So, does everyone have to submit fingerprints?
Should I be worried if they haven't asked me to do it yet - I have been "In process" for almost 2 months now.

Pretty much - yeah, doing the practice tests and all that fun stuff - my wife is stressing about the test, I don't think she will have a problem lol.

It took 4 months from receipt for them to Acknowledge mine - could be February before you hear anything, if your timeline is the same as mine.
I just checked and mine is still saying "Processing".

OK, I finally got in - I put my place of birth as England, although I wasn’t born there, but a different part of the UK LOL.
I think I had the same problem with my PR application if I remember...

I sent in my application in July 2018, got AOR on 21st November.
I have tried every possible way of entering my info on the online checker and it always says unable to find your application.

Well I'm glad to say that the imminent law changes will allow us to count our time on work permits as 1/2 time and with the reduction from 4 years to 3 years it means we can apply next June instead...
