Mysterious is right lol Who knows what goes on behind the scenes.
It took them 7 months to go from processing to notice to appear for us - just hang in there. The office that is processing it can make a difference too.
I saw somebody here had their test in the morning and took an oath in the afternoon whereas it took 2 months for us to get a date, and now due to take the oath in 10 days. ( they did say 2-5 months though).
Congratualtions and good luck with the oath

I don't understand why there are two members on that had their applications delivered and received on the 12th and 17th October and they have had theirs acknowledged before Christmas and yet mine was a week later and Ive still heard nothing? I know was delivered because I paid for Fedex to deliver it and got signature and proof of delivery
Has anyone had the worst case scenario happen, where it isn't ever acknowledged due to their error?

I just checked and mine is still saying "Processing".

Yeah I remember, so you are at the 6 month mark and waiting for your test date then?

Already not impressed when logging to check the status - my home address was correct but my mailing address was my previous one, despite on my application form indicating my home address was the same as my mailing address. Nice one!

Better that way than the other way round though I guess. I feel like it might be the final test of how badly do you really want this lol

Yay!!! I got the date for the test through - sorry I can’t tell anyone the test date, it’s a weird ritual I have, I never tell anyone the date of tests until after I’ve done it!
Can anyone tell tell me how long it will take roughly or how long I should allow? I’m on nights that week, my test is at 12.30pm, so I might not even need to take any time off if it’s only an hour or two.
I’m nervous now!!

It’s not the test itself that took long - I was out of there in 5 minutes - we had to wait around afterward for our interview, (and they didn’t seem to do it in any particular order as we were both out first but were about 8th for interview) so depending on how many peole are there I would probably allow 2 hours.

What kind of things do they ask in the interview? I thought the interview was only if you fail the test?

Other than that it was just a general chat really, they are just verifying that everything is straight.

They interview everybody. They ask you to produce all your travel documents so they can check them - they are verifying that there are no trips in there you haven’t told them about, and that all the trips that you have told them about have the right date stamps. (We had to supply additional paperwork as we didn’t have entry stamps for the UK so they couldn’t confirm what date we had left Canada for two of the trips we took. Had to hunt around for an itinerary/hotel receipts etc to give them).

It was just Notice to appear, PR card, passports, drivers licence or equivalent ID, I took my original certificate of my language test but she said she could see I spoke English perfectly well and didn’t need to see it lol
I was extremely nervous too - it’s stressful when you’ve expended all that effort on something and it comes down to this. I can tell you you’ll be fine (as everyone did to me) but if you’re a worrier like me it will make no difference lol.
Good luck!
