yepp thanxs - i am somewhat in-undated with info now,
1. i would assume i have lost the pr status as i am outside the 5yr point (ended 2014)
2. in demand job - correct i used the wrong phrase

paw339 hi.. not quite sure if i get you - however in simple terms we done the "landing thing" in May 2009 - stayed couple weeks then returned to UK and sadly did not returned - therefore technically...

yepp - gonna really eat some humble pie !! - worse is i'm using him as a resource for info - i was at one stage a PR, although i did the "landing" thing i returned (uk) and never came back therefore...

Iain, can I jump in, just to clarify, would there be an issue if one was to leave the permanent move until well into the 30 months or so,
i.e I've activated my PR may 09, for all sorts of reasons,...

Hi Moat..

for whats it worth we are going thru very similar, and lately have questioned what is right - admittedly my kids are much younger, very young - we both actually gave up jobs as our house...

can i just clarify, I activated our "landing" in May this year, return to Uk after 10 days - we return to canada in Sept, are we still required to obtain a Travel doc - we haven't got our PR cards as...

they won't accept NI ones, silly as it seems they just don't - i used my friends house in surrey as an address and got a GB one.. very simple, I did try with the NI one on one of my recce's twice in...

they don't do them any longer from NI, nor the Met - basically when you apply they re-direct you to a number in england, can't remeber exactly - but one form clears all.. "ACPO Criminal Records...

No Job as such, a few contacts - but its a tad similar everywhere really, you make you own luck sometimes - option B is to stay closer to Hamilton regions, Brantford / Cambridge way perhaps - I seen...

Yeah probally retire in about 25 yrs or so !! just felt missing out the "hamilton" part, as it looked depressed on the last recce (my opinion), going towards London way seem slightly more afluent...

I felt exactly the same way - we were getting constantly messed about with our estate agent here (UK), with the few viewing we had over two years of trying to sell - we are now "fingers crossed" on...
